Educate and inform public safety agencies and private sector interested in film production fire safety in California.
Discuss and demonstrate the proper use, handling, storage, and transportation of pyrotechnic special effects and how they are used within the industry. Provide a leadership role in educating local government agencies throughout the State, by standardizing regulatory safety requirements as they apply to the motion picture industry. Recognize that the motion picture and entertainment industry is a safe and vital form of commerce in California. This course provides live weapons with blank cartridges, stunts featuring a body burn and pyrotechnic special effects demonstration.
Attire: Business casual attire or uniform. (No shorts or open toe shoes, no exceptions!)
Cancellation: You must cancel the week BEFORE class starts or your fee will be retained.

FSO Training is presented by CAL FIRE/Office of the State Fire Marshal and hosted by Long Beach Fire Department. Please see attached flyer for contact info and to sign up. Get your registration and checks in as soon as possible to reserve your seat because the class fills up fast. Upon completion, you will receive a certificate for fire life safety training that is not available anywhere else in the world.
FSO, SAFFE Motion Picture/TV & Entertainment Class hosted by San Francisco FD
Fire Safety Officer training for Motion Picture/TV & Entertainment will take place on March 21, 22, 23, 0800-1700 hrs. at San Francisco State University 1600 Holloway Ave. Bldg. BURK HALL/ Room 1. Registration fee is $150 for the 3 day State certified course.
The class is limited and priority will be based on the date that payment/registration is received so register soon.
Our next SAFFE meeting will take place at Warner Bros Studios, 9:00 am, June 19, 2014.
The next SAFFE meeting at SPE Studios will be in November, 2013, date TBD.
